Throughout high school, I have always been passionate about the Health Sciences. I loved Biology, and I dreamed of helping people lead healthy lives. This idea of health equals wealth has always been my passion; hence, I decided to pursue a career in Public Health. My goal is not only to educate those in society about health education and aging but also to help people make the necessary changes to improve their overall health and wellness.

It is health that is real wealth, and not pieces of gold and silver- Mahatma Gandhi.

Cherly Lucien was born to two ambitious and hardworking Haitian parents. Her resolute commitment to scholarship, integrity, and excellence has helped her achieve some of her most significant accomplishments. She chose the legal profession because she wanted to bring about meaningful change. Cherly is a staunch believer that you should use your gift to God’s glory rather than burying it.” Her journey to being the most excellent Public Defender is an achievement that she has been looking forward to for most of her life, and she has undoubtedly attained this goal with such hard work and bravery.

Shannel Gayle-Bennett

Shannel believes that dreams do come true. She knew the first thing she wanted to achieve as a young adult was attaining her degree. This goal was etched in her mind for as long as she could remember. She believes hard work leads to great success and is a true testament to this fact. Shannel is pursuing an MBA in Process Improvement and currently works as an Executive and Compliance Assistant for a Registered Investment Advising Firm.
 

Marja Gillete

Marja is a phenomenal young woman. Her resiliency lies in her aspiration to be an exceptional medical doctor. Her greatest dream to be able to treat people with care, empathy, and love through what she loves the most(Medicine). Marja believes in helping people through their illnesses and helping them to return to normal functioning. It gives her great joy to put a smile on each patient face she interacts with daily. Marja hopes that she can move on to honing the skills that she has garnered in Medical school and share that with her broader community to inspire the younger generation to always look toward their future goals. She is interested in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Surgery but truly believes she will somehow find a specialty that best fits her personality.

Mandie Salmon

B. A in Communications with a concentration in Journalism and Public Relations

Evangelist and Founder of AS I AM MinistrMany people wonder what they want to study or where their true passion lies. Mandie is one courageous and bold young woman whose ministry is influential to many young people. She is the Founder of As I AM Ministry, a broad platform of over 500 active members. Mandie has always been in the public eye and deemed this a lifelong goal she wanted to build on. Her mandate is to help people with their mental health and allow them to see their value in Christ. She believes the media will enable her to take on this specific role through visual storytelling and photojournalism. She is not only passionate about Christ and his word but performing arts is also one of her first love. She is striving to create a business as a Life Coach in Personal Branding and Development. Mandie believes she will continue to help young people build stronger relationships in Christ while also developing better mental health practices in their everyday lives. Her ultimate goal is to pursue a Master’s in Counseling.
