Nayyif was born in Benin, West Africa. He migrated to the United States in 2014 to study at Asa College in Manhattan (Associate Degree in Computer Network). Upon moving to the US, he knew that he wanted to pursue a degree in Engineering. He knew he would do very well at any major that included mathematics. From an early age, Nayyif had a natural talent for mathematics and excelled in any subject area that included numbers. His dream was to come to America and work towards a degree that he knew he would do well in, but one that would also provide him with the income to reside in New York City long-term. Nayyif had an advantage when he arrived in the US. Before moving to the US, he lived in Ghana, where he learned English, so his classes were not very difficult for him to understand when he started attending Asa college. Over time, he became very fluent in English but still uses his native language when communicating with family and friends. His goal is to complete his Master’s degree and work for Amazon or Etsy as his job in the future.
